Blouse: H&M
Pants: Zara
Glasses: Ann Taylor
Necklace: Joan Rivers
Shoes: Shoe Dazzle

I wore this outfit to our Father's Day dinner at Ruth's Chris and then to hike around the old zoo at Griffith Park.  The shoes made part of the hike believe it or not before being abandoned when the hub offered to carry them for me.  I've eased off the diet lately using lots of working meals and occasions like Father's Day to excuse it.  The weight hasn't piled back on, but I have gained three pounds back, so it's back to the grindstone today.  I think these pictures are the first that show how light my hair really is right now.  The grey is growing out well, and I think there is more of it than anyone expected especially around the right temple.  I'll try to do a root shot soon.  How exciting will that be?

Braided Up

Dress: H&M
Bag: Oscar De La Renta for Target
Shoes: Lauren Ralph Lauren (Old but similar pointy toe here)
Earrings: Ann Taylor (Similar)
Necklace: Ann Taylor
Bracelet: Joan Rivers

As my hair is going through this weird tonal growing out phases, I seem to prefer pulling it up and back.  I was sitting at my desk, reading emails, and I started making all of these little braids.  I don't usually play with my hair, so this was a little odd.  I realized what I was doing, and instead of undoing the braids, I just pulled it all back into a low ponytail.  When I actually glanced at myself, I kind of liked the results and decided to wrap it into a bun before going out to take these pictures.

This dress is old from H&M.  I really like the black lace over the pinkish underdress, but it's just too short.  I actually wore it a few weeks ago with a skirt on top of it, and liked it a little bit better.  I have to stop wearing these shoes.  I've worn them to pieces, and I need to move on to summer styles.

MintStyle June Catalog

My husband got me hooked on Game of Thrones, but he's more emotionally attached to it than I am.  He walked around in a daze for a few days after last Sunday's episode saying, "What just happened?  Wait, what?  Now what?"  In one of those coincidences, I received the MintStyle catalog for June a few days later and saw pieces that seem to make a nod to the show.

The Draco necklace on the cover is inspired by dragons, and the Rebel Love ring (below) reminds me of something that a warrior's lady would wear.

Empowering Women Through Transition Workshop

I'm privileged to be part of an amazing workshop happening later this month in Pasadena.  I'd be thrilled to meet some of you if you are in the area.
