The Foundry on Melrose

A few weeks ago we went to a tasting at The Foundry on Melrose for the Ventura Limoncello Company and Ledbetter Wine.

We had some amazing cocktails made with limoncello that I never would have imagined including this limoncello, vodka, cucumber and black pepper creation which was paired with shrimp ceviche.




Another cocktail of limoncello, lemon verbena, rosemary and gin was paired with a seared scallop.  Plated together to pair with the Ledbetter syrah (which is amazing) was lamb served on crispy rice, followed with a savory lemon tart with halibut.


Altogether, a beautiful evening.  The outdoor dining space at The Foundry just glows, and happily, it wasn't too warm that night.  I love small tastings like this that also allow you to meet some great people and chat about the food and wine.
